Meet Pro Staffer Richard Wright
Name: Richard Wright
Representing: Charter fishing for Lake Erie
Service provided to the WWIA: Fishing Guide
Personal Biography: I have lived in Southern Ohio my whole life. I joined the U.S. Army in 1989 and was stationed at Ft Bragg NC, but I am now still serving in the Ohio Army National Guard. I served in Desert Shield/Storm as well as in OIF II as a Combat Engineer.
Since 1994, my passion is to spend hours on Lake Erie fishing for Walleye and the walleye fish family. I didn't get into fishing the big waters of Lake Erie until 2000, but have been hooked on big water walleyes ever since. Starting in 2010, I began fishing in many of the walleye tournaments in that area.
I enjoying promoting WWIA by wearing the logo at National televised fishing tournaments as well as sharing program information. I also contributed time by setting up information tables at Combined Federal Campaign and Ohio State Employee Campaign events in Ohio.
At this time, I am working on becoming USCG Charter license certified for Lake Erie so that I can provide chartered trips for our Wounded Heroes. I can also provide small personal walleye and perch fishing trips to Lake Erie for Wounded Warriors upon request.
