Cigars on the Boulevard and WWIA
“Inaugural Purple Heart Day Fundraiser”
Welcome! In honor of Purple Heart Day, Cigars on the Boulevard has graciously partnered with the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIA) in hosting a special fundraising event to help support our mission to bring Honor, Connection, and Healing to America’s combat-wounded Purple Heart recipients. On August 4th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Cigars on the Boulevard will proudly host the Inaugural Purple Heart Day Fundraiser. This special event will feature a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, as well as access to an exclusive run of 250 “WWIA” branded cigars that will be available for purchase. This is an outstanding opportunity to come out and enjoy an evening with friends while helping support a local charity that has been changing the lives of our Purple Heart Heroes for the past 17 years. The Founder and CEO of WWIA, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) John J. McDaniel, will also be on-hand to meet and greet guests and thank them for their tremendous support. We hope you will make plans to join us for this special event. Spread the word and tell others to come on out and have a great time for a great cause! We look forward to seeing you there!

*Organizing regional and local community involvement and participation in WWIA-sponsored outdoor sporting events to build long-lasting relationships between American Heroes and American Sportsmen and women.
Meet the Founder
John J. McDaniel
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) John J. McDaniel founded Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation in 2007 and established its corporate headquarters in Apollo Beach, Florida. A retired Army officer, John felt that his service to the nation was not yet finished. He started as a concerned citizen taking a few Wounded Warriors out on hunting and fishing trips, but quickly saw that the need for this kind of healing was greater than he could support on his own. In 2009 WWIA was granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and has been changing the lives of American Heroes and American Sportsmen and women across the country ever since.
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) John J. McDaniel
Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation now serves over 175 Purple Heart Recipients each year on over 41 events across North America. We have many dedicated Purple Heart Associates and countless volunteers working across the country to assist WWIA in accomplishing its mission.
