8th Annual Upstate New York Bird Hunt and Couples Retreat- in Memory of James Reisdorf, WWIA Associate.  The Upstate New York Bird Hunt and Couples Retreat is unique to WWIA because we not only honor our wounded Heroes, but also include their spouse. We believe that not only is the wounded warrior a Hero, the spouse that is supporting them daily is as well. The Heroes and their wives will start their weekend off Friday. They arrive and will be taken to their hotel. After they have dropped their things off they will join the host family for a relaxed dinner. Saturday is when the real fun begins! The men (and women if they choose) will go to Whispering Pines Bird Sanctuary and Hunt Club for some guided Pheasant and Chucker hunting. The women will enjoy a relaxing wine tour in the area. Saturday evening everyone meets back at Whispering Pines for a Game dinner with supporters, family and friends. Sunday the men will again go hunting while the women enjoy a brunch and spa time. The event will wrap up with a quiet dinner Sunday evening.
