This is my second event through WWIA, and like the first, it was amazing. It’s not often I am able to meet a new group of people and immediately feel a connection, as if I’ve known them for years. The Guide Allen was informative and knowledgeable and kept us all informed throughout the process. This was important as it made me more comfortable in a situation I am not often in. The men and women who ran the event went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and provide for our needs. The meals were great and the lodging phenomenal. The best part of the event was the camaraderie I felt with the other veterans and people running the event. The support from the local community was also very much appreciated. I would recommend these events to any veteran. Getting back outdoors saved me years ago and I believe in the healing properties of being outside and partaking in what nature has to offer, especially with other like-minded people.

First off, thank you for the opportunity of a lifetime to fellowship, hunt, and be a part of this great organization. The people, guides and participants on this event have been outstanding from day one. From the hospitality, food, and the bonding. I called the event, screen porch therapy, changing lives through the outdoors. When vets get together, we just chat like we all knew each other prior to the event. Thanks for all the laughs, jokes, food, hunting, and memories that I will always cherish. WWIA has given me faith back in nonprofit organizations. Thank you so much.
