This was my first WWIA event. Going into the weekend, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised to be met by brothers (and a little sister) I didn’t know I needed. The weekend was filled with memories I will cherish forever and a family of the best group of people ever. Thank you for making this weekend happen.

A lot of emotions are involved with this WWIA event. Every year, I’m humbled by the generosity and commitment of the Lake Erie team. To have a bunch of strangers into their town, to show us a phenomenal time, and to show their support and gratitude. The community support is unparalleled. Even while hosting such an amazing event, the Lake Erie team still strives to do more to show their appreciation for our veterans. As a returning Guide, I’m beyond proud and amazed at what this community has provided to all the Warriors on this event. I take great pride being able to help facilitate their heartwarming “home coming” to Ashtabula, Ohio. This loving passionate and grateful community provides an extraordinary setting for all of us wounded vets to bond, heal and breathe. The respite from the civilian world, as well as the opportunity to bond with fellow like-minded people is appreciated beyond words. We can’t thank WWIA, Team Erie, and the entire community. With the upmost respect and appreciation.

Thank you to all of the Hosts, Guides and veterans who worked to make this happen. I am grateful for the chance to come out and to catch fish. I’ve never had a chance to catch walleye and likely never would have without WWIA. Thank you for the chance to engage in fellowship with the other warriors.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t put into words how much this meant to me what you guys do for us. Everyone that I have encountered has been amazing. I couldn’t have expected anything close to what was put on here. Thank you so much.

I have nothing but great things to say about the WWIA. Especially the Ashtabula community. The “welcome home” never occurred for me until we drove through your town and ended at the entrance to your American Legion Post, where I was overwhelmed and brought to tears. So many wonderful people, especially Bill and Diane Miller and Mark and Meme Carr. The guides were excellent, Eddie Hoffmann as well as my new friends, Joey and Al, the cooks. I am proud to say my local VFW Post in Bennington VT is a donor and supporter of WWIA and I can’t wait to tell them what a great time I had at our next meeting. Last but very much not the least is Coordinator, Corrina Hart, she is a jewel in your organization, she is always such a pleasure to talk to you. My greatest appreciation.

Thank you so much. Words can’t express how much of a good time we had. It helps with my PTSD to talk with other warriors about what goes on in your head. It’s good to talk with others going through the same thing.

Thank you, thank you. You don’t just heal once. Being with my fellow wounded warriors heals with stories and some tears. The volunteers that give their time and resources always restore my faith in American pride. WWIA is the most amazing program that pours their heart and soul into healing America’s Warriors.

I cannot say thank you enough for the opportunity of a lifetime. From the Hosts to the Guides, I say thank you. Most all for me it is connecting with fellow wounded warriors. Great people all around. One of our Guides, Eddie and I were in theater at the same time during OIF in 2005. Amazingly enough, we were both wounded in Iraq in October 2005, just 10 days apart at the same location. Thank you again.

Thank you all for such a good time. This event has helped me with my antisocial behavior. Everyone is so great and friendly towards me. I hope you guys will keep it up and help veterans know there are people out there that care.

The MoKan Catfishing event at Napier Hunt Club this past summer did not disappoint. There were 4 of us invited to this annual event and we all caught fish. The Missouri River was high and the trash was coming down the river but it did not interfere with the catfish bite. If you have an opportunity to attend this once in a lifetime event by the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation, GO. You will not be disappointed. Napier Hunt Club pulls out all the stops, so you are never hungry and make you comfortable. Thank You Brian, the Guides and Napier Hunt Club.
