A proud U.S. Army Veteran who served with distinction in Tokyo, Japan, Joe was not only a patriot, but a man of remarkable integrity, compassion, and purpose. Following his military service, Joe devoted his life to education—earning a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, teaching English and Latin, and serving as a beloved principal across all levels of schooling.
Joe’s impact did not end with his extraordinary career. In a final act of profound generosity, he chose to leave a significant legacy gift to the Foundation—ensuring that his values and dedication to service live on through our mission of bringing Honor, Connection, and Healing to America’s combat-wounded Veterans.
We are humbled and inspired by Joe’s enduring support and his unwavering belief in the power of community and compassion. We honor him not only as a Veteran, educator, loving partner, father, and grandfather, but as a true champion of our Heroes. His life and legacy will continue to make a difference for generations to come.
