September is Suicide Prevention Month 💜💙

Every day, our nation tragically loses Veterans to suicide. These are not just statistics—these are Heroes, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and friends who have sacrificed for our freedom. At the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIA), we refuse to let their struggles go unseen. We know the invisible wounds of war can be just as heavy as the visible ones. That’s why our mission goes far beyond providing outdoor adventures. These events aren’t just hunting and fishing trips, they’re lifelines. They are where our Heroes find connection, purpose, and healing.

Through therapeutic, world-class, adaptive outdoor sporting events, we connect our Purple Heart Heroes with communities who care and honor their service and sacrifice. We connect them with their fellow Heroes who understand their challenges and build bonds of friendship and support. We connect them with the great outdoors, which heals the body, mind, and spirit. Through an evidence-based program that has been serving combat-wounded Veterans for almost two decades, we help combat isolation, restore hope, provide resources, and play an integral role in preventing Veteran suicide.
