Anthony "Tony" Smith is an Army veteran who served 20 years on active duty including over 12 years in the 75th Ranger Regiment and other Special Operations Units. He deployed 12 times to combat and earned various service medals including the Purple Heart from wounds received in Iraq in 2010.
Tony grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball in high school. He spent time fishing and hunting deer and pheasants with his dad and brothers, developing a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2004 and has a Masters in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School.
After retiring in 2024 from Ft Bragg, NC, Tony became a licensed auctioneer and real estate broker. He is married to Alexa and they are blessed to have three wonderful children, Destry, Velzy and Zoya.
Tony attended his first WWIA hunting trip in 2016 at Grand Ciel Lodge, SD for a pheasant hunt and has been a true believer in the organization ever since. He has benefitted immensely from WWIA and cannot wait to start giving a little back as a Lead Associate.
