Nick enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1994 and attended boot camp, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC. Upon graduation, he attended and graduated from the School of Infantry onboard Camp Geiger, NC where he received the MOS 0331- Machine Gunner. Throughout his career, Nick served in infantry units within all three of the active duty Marine Corps Divisions. He was also the Company First Sergeant for B Co. 2d Reconnaissance Battalion and 2d Force Reconnaissance Company. Nick retired in 2015 as the Sergeant Major for MACS 2.

Nick deployed 12 times during his career. Seven of the deployments were in combat zones. In 2004, while deployed to Iraq, Nick was wounded twice while conducting combat operations in and around Fallujah.

Nick is now fully retired and living in Hubert, NC with his wife and daughters. When he’s not giving back through WWIA, you’ll find him in the woods hunting or on the intercostal fishing!
