This weekend never ceased to amaze. We welcomed our first Vietnam Vets and I so wish Dad could have been here for it. My favorite parts of these weekends are the laughter and bonds that is a result. It means so much to me to see the joy in our hero’s eyes. Typically, they each struggle daily as an effect of what they gave physically during war. To see them come and for two days feel safe and loved is priceless. To see their wives, get a chance to remember themselves and a chance to breathe is wonderful. I am honored to be a part. I am so proud of my Momma Lou! I know because of this weekend these heroes and their wives go home renewed and a little lighter then when they came and that makes it so wonderful.
