Never been cat or hound hunting. I recently got back into hunting the last few years. This opportunity was truly wonderful. I learned so much about the hound hunting community as well as hunting a bobcat. I found that patience also plays a lot of time in this sport as well as the rush of when the hounds get the scent of the bobcat. The Oregon Bobcat community was so great. They took their own time away from their lives to spend the weekend with us. They made sure that I was given the opportunity of getting a bobcat. At the dinner that was held for WWIA and us Purple Heart awardees, I felt honored. We were thanked numerous times for our service and sacrifice. But, I told a few people that this ‘event’, this hunting experience was the reason why I served and did what we did. Thank you to the Oregon hound hunting group and to WWIA for allowing me to experience this event.
