I had an opportunity to go hunting at Camp Hackett over Veterans Day Weekend with John McDaniel, Founder and CEO of Wounded Warriors in Action. We had a tremendous time hunting white tail deer and ruffled grouse.
I wanted to let people know, whether you’re a Wounded Warrior, volunteer, employee, donor, potential donor, veteran, or somebody just browsing the web, that if you have ever interacted, or will be interacting, with the WWIA foundation, you are dealing with an organization run by my best buddy John McDaniel. John and WWIA are committed to the cause, they do things professionally, and they do things correctly. John and I had this discussion over the weekend: doing things correctly takes time. He is a guy who is willing to invest the time to make it right.
John calls all his Purple Heart recipients heroes, but I’m here to tell you, John and his team are the heroes! We didn’t shoot the trophy buck that weekend, but then again John and I can both agree, it wasn’t really about the hunt, it was about the brotherhood.
