This is my first WWIA event and I am very pleased to have been invited and humbled to be here. I’ve been hunting since after my time in the service as a way to cope with the stress of PTSD. I’ve only been here for 1 ½ days and already have been on 3 different birds. The odds are in our favor with two more days left. I’m anxiously awaiting the chance to harvest my first turkey. With that being said, even if I do not tag a bird, this trip has been a success. Success is not measured by kills/harvests, but by advancing your knowledge and by the friends and memories you make. I hope to make many more friends at future events and am blessed and thankful for the ones I’ve made here. Thank you WWIA!
