Dear Miss Corrina, I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate all your hard work to get my Pat to this weekend of a lifetime. He had so much fun, met so many great people and came home with loads of fish and lots of new friends. When he came home from Vietnam, our nation spit on vets and burned flags in protest of their service. Now, over 50 years later, the pain is still there. Your kindness and dedication in getting Pat to his trip to fish and spend time with other vets who were also wounded in war has helped him more than you know. Pat’s Dad was one of Darby’s Rangers in WWII, so he knew what my LRRP Ranger had been through. He told Pat to keep his head down and not to tel anyone where he had been or what he had done, so he did. He ws never thanked or celebrated or treated as the Hero that he is. Your trip did all of that and more. Thank you so much. If you ever get to Central Texas, call us and we will try to thank you properly. May God continue to guide you in your service to vets.
