I wanted to start by saying thank you for the opportunity to be able to attend an event like this. Beyond the opportunity, the people I have met while attending this event, I have never felt so welcome. It has been a trip of many firsts for me, my first time being in a place where everyone is genuine and authentic to the point that I had the biggest smile from the moment I got off the plane to the time I left. It has been an emotion filled trip and the good kind. I can’t remember the last time I talked, cried and laughed so much in such a short time but being around great people has definitely changed and uplifted my outlook on my life. It has reminded me that this nation and communities like this one still appreciate and love our country and service members. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly appreciate and love everything WWIA stands for. Thank you.
