I cannot put into words the gratitude I feel having been able to attend this event. I was contacted much earlier this year by Corrina with the offer of a WWIA opportunity. I asked if it would be possible to attend an event with a Marine I served and was wounded with. Corrina helped make it happen! For many years life has gotten in the way of being able to truly unplug and spend time with people who are a huge part of making and keeping veterans feel whole. Without James, Roy, Russ, Larry and Carl this event would not have the same impact. I cannot stress how well planned the logistics of this event were. By far the best aspect was the instant camaraderie among fellow veterans. What seems to set WWIA apart is how from the moment I arrived , I felt like family. The hunt itself was both challenging and exhilarating, set against the backdrop of New Hampshire’s stunning wilderness. From practicing patience (waiting for a bear), to seeing one come in and then tracking it over a mile through challenging terrain after shooting it. The experience has enriched my life in more ways than I can express. Lastly, a special thanks to Roy and James for the unforgettable memories and the continued support you provide veterans.
