My local VA put out an email and they highlighted WWIA. Their mission intrigued me so I decided to apply, and was on my way here in less than two months. I am not a fisherman at all. I am a city boy and the closest I’ve got to fishing is a simple lake with a cheap rod. With the guides and the captains it was like I was a regular on the water. To hear everyone’s stories of their service gave me a sense of family. This is one of the greatest experiences and I could never say anything that would explain how this has helped me.
