This past weekend was my first opportunity to volunteer with WWIA. I was so excited to be a part of the first all-women’s hunt albeit a little apprehensive. I am usually very much an introvert until I get to know people, so it made me a little nervous to dive in not knowing 90% of the folks at the event. However, from the very first night I felt a sense of companionship with everyone that I have not felt in a long time. I am so glad I was able to spend time with some amazing women who gave so much of themselves to our country. This was a wonderful way to start out Christmas week and I look forward to participating in another event again.
