I have been on a dozen or so hunting/fishing trips with just as many different non-profits. Even though those other nonprofits have good intentions, there’s always something missing. WWIA has it right. I felt welcome without it being awkward. I felt the sense of community and love from all involved. Although I did not harvest a deer, I don’t feel disappointed in the least. I am leaving fulfilled. Simply getting out in nature, clearing my thoughts, and being around other veterans and wonderful people has been truly healing. Special thanks to our outstanding WWIA Guide, Dan Berryman. This trip would not have been the same without him, thank you Dan and thank you to WWIA.
