The other vets that I get to meet help me understand that I am not alone in the world going through the struggles I’ve been going through. I love the outdoors and hardly get a chance to do it because I don’t have friends or any other people that understand why I get frustrated. These events really help me not only get out and meet others that have the love and passion to do these things. I get a chance to relax and not feel judged because we all have some of the same stories. It makes me feel like part of a team again. I can put my guard down even if it is only for a short time because I feel the ones here will have my six. I would like to get more involved and to be able to give back for all these opportunities given to me. I would like to thank all of the behind-the-scenes people who make this happen.
