The day before my travel was the day I should’ve died. It was 15 years ago, and for some reason, I was hit pretty hard with unwanted memories and struggles. This hunt was the calming effect I needed to come back to reality and forget the “what ifs”. In fact, I forgot them all. Sharing stories with other veterans and getting to hunt is great therapy. The people that volunteered truly care and were appreciative and I got to open up to them as well. They are truly what the sacrifice was about and now they are willing to give us their time and to feed us. Thank you to Jeremy, Paul, Tim, Travis, and April and all the people behind the scenes. Great hunt! Great therapy!
