C. Scott

I missed my flight due to a kiosk, when I finally got to Minot, North Dakota I met Allen and had an instant rapport with him.  He let me know what we would be doing the next three days. He lied. I’ve never met a more enthusiastic group of folks during the hunt and the folks of Garrison, North Dakota. People who had the time in their hearts to make me feel wanted, respected, and a very special person. I don’t know who to thank first, the family at the barn with breakfast and lunch, the fire department with dinner, the guys who brought me a chair when I had difficulty walking or best of all the dogs that were there to flush the birds. Yes, Allen lied, he didn’t say anything about the friendships found, or the camaraderie of all the folks that were there for us five veterans as if we were the only veterans on the face of the earth.
