My heart is full. I cannot explain how much this trip meant to me. Connecting with old friends and making new friends. From the moment I watched the patriot guard and law enforcement pull up and I have been fighting back tears. The patriotism, love, and honor that the local community has outpoured to us is something I have never seen before. It was emotionally overwhelming in an amazing way and I will forever be grateful. What WWIA is doing is as real medicine as antibiotics are. This trip was absolutely incredible, the house, the food, the people, everything. Tim Spence and his amazing team set the standard of giving back to our combat-wounded. To everyone involved, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve changed 2026 for me in more ways than I can explain.
