First, I want to say thank you, I had an amazing time. Not only was it a blast meeting new people and sharing stories, but the most amazing and therapeutical part was seeing Jon French again. I deployed with him in 2009 and we were both injured on the same mission. The last time I saw him was 2009 at Walter Reed Hospital. It was great catching up and telling stories. I found out so much information about the day we both got hurt that I did not know about. Not only did I get to catch up with Jon but I was also successful in harvesting a turkey that day. On the second day, I decided to stay behind and not go fishing and instead turn some wood, because I had a blast turning wood with Tony. I ended up making two plates, a bowl, and a candle holder. I had so much fun turning wood that I’m thinking about doing it myself at home. Everyone was so nice, I would highly recommend this trip. Thanks again.
