About This Event

This annual event encourages attendees to “Stuff” Squeak’s Jeep with as much non-perishable food/cans as possible for donation to the Geneva Food Pantry. A raffle basket auction and a 50/50 will be held with those proceeds generously donated to WWIA.

This event is held annually to honor the memory of James “Squeak” Thompson, a 6-year Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient who had a tremendous heart for helping his fellow veterans. It’s an awesome time of fellowship and fun for the whole family!

Our Mission isSaving Lives!

WWIA devotes all of its energy and resources to supporting the men and women wounded in combat who were awarded the Purple Heart Medal. We serve all Purple Heart Heroes, regardless of era of conflict.

In 2024, WWIA held 40 events across 35 states. Through opportunities like whitetail deer hunting in Tennessee, halibut fishing in Alaska, and bear hunting in Wisconsin, these Heroes experience a wide variety of opportunities that fulfill lifelong dreams.

WWIA provided real services to 166 Purple Heart recipients this past year through therapeutic and adaptive sports like hunting and fishing, helping our wounded veterans recover mentally, physically, and spiritually from their wartime experiences.

We’re committed to healing the lives of America’s veterans and reducing veteran suicide. For 19 years, we’ve been changing and saving lives! We have over 1,500 testimonials from Heroes who can attest that what we’re doing works!

The Warriors clicked as…

What a trip, Captain John and Frenchie did an amazing job. Lots of firsts for me. First time in Alaska, the scale of everything here really makes you appreciate how fortunate we are to be in this country, have the things we have, and how small of a footprint we take up. First trip with WWIA, wow! Fishing was great, Captain John and Frenchie did an amazing job and worked…

Everyone went out of their way to make the trip the best that it could have been even through flight delays and inclement weather. Once here it was awe inspiring natural beauty and nonstop action. I was teamed up with an awesome group of…

First off, I would like to thank WWIA, Corrina, Frenchie, John Moline, Seward American Legion, Wes Oetinger, and all the guys who attended this event. Even before we arrived, the attention to detail was great. We had some time and explored the area around the airport while waiting for one of the vets to land. The drive to Seward was filled with beautiful scenery and great conversation. Turns out I…
