Hero Events

Four Purple Heart recipients will get the opportunity to hike into the South Dakota flatlands for a 3-day Guided Archery Mule Deer hunt, sleeping in tents under the stars, with pack goats to do the heavy lifting. Heroes attending this event must be able to hike and traverse hills, rocks and tall grass.

Arrival at Gravel Spring Lodge followed by trap shooting, military arms shooting, then unpack gear and mix and mingle, followed by dinner, fire pit and college football on tv.  Shooting teams will be determined for bird shooting over stocked pheasants and chuckar on preserve at Penns Cave and afternoon flyfishing at Penns Creek.
